Enchanted Spaces -
Marrigje de Maar

Marrigie de Maar started out taking pictures of worn out rejected buildings, after looking at this she moved onto capturing images of interiors that tell stories about people, in public space people appear to follow trends and fashions but capturing their home shows how they make their own decisions.

Everything visible in her pictures is there, she never changes anything and only uses the available light and the image comes alive in the existing light.

“The doors I choose to knock on rarely hold a clue about what I may find inside.” – Marrigie de Maar.
